If you do not pass the test on your first attempt, you can retest at any time. Speak with our AWS Accredited Test Facility representative to schedule a new test date.
Once you pass the test, it can take two to three weeks for AWS to process your application. You should receive your AWS Certification Card within four to six weeks after testing.
AWS certification remains valid as long as you submit a Certification Maintenance Form every six months, verifying that you are still performing the same welding processes.
AWS provides a 60-day administrative extension period after expiration. If you submit your Maintenance Form within this timeframe, you can renew your certification. After 60 days, you will need to retest to regain your certification.
